25 Years Old !
1978 - 2003
My Trans Am is now 25 years old !
Well, I just put on the last set of plates that I will ever need for my Trans Am.  This year my car turns 25 years old, which means it is now a "Historical" vehicle.  There is quite a few good things that become of your car turning 25 years old.  First off, like I mentioned, it is now considered a Historical vehicle.  Second, I now never have to worry about emissions ever again (I didn't before because I registered my car as a "Collectors" vehicle, so I was exempt then too).  Third, I never have to register my car again here in the State of Ohio, no more trips to the DMV every year for new stickers or registration, like I said, I now retired my personalized plates for the last set I will ever need (your state may be different).  Fourth, I am sure my car just increased in value without me even doing anything to her.  Now she isn't "Officially" 25 years old yet.  My Trans Am was built on July 11th, 1978, so that is when she officially turns 25 years old.  I will be sending out the invitations for the big birthday bash..... well really, probably not, you don't actually think that I am that obsessed do you?
Anyway, lets take a look back to see what was going on 25 years ago this year:
