Die-Cast Collectibles
I have tried to put together a few links to pages that contain the Die-cast Collectible cars. I have a few people ask me where to find these, so I guess I had to put up a page to link to them. I have also included a couple of photos of the model Trans Am's that I own. Of these cars that I own, I have some of them for sale loctaed on my Misc. Items for sale page. E-mail me if you know of any other sites that I would be able to post here.
Smokey and the Bandit's 1977 Trans Am 1/18th Scale
Here is my 1/18th scale red 1977 Trans Am (only 1 of 5,000 made), along with my 1/64th scale of a 1977 Trans Am and also Sheriff Justice's Police Car from "Smokey and the Bandit" and the Bandit's Trans Am. It was just released this Spring and I happened to see it in the store. I also have an old 1/64th scale 1977 Trans Am from when I was a kid. I have also added a few more to my collection.
I have alot of these small cars in a nice little display box. If I could ever find a blue 1979 Trans Am, it would complete my collection.
Racing Champions 1/64th Black 1978 Trans Am with Serial number.
1980 Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am from the Matchbox Star Car Collection with display box.
AMT 78 Trans Am Model
I also have an original 1978 Trans Am model that was given out as a promotional item to dealerships
Smokey and the Bandit American Muscle Body Shop
ERTL Little Tykes Trans Am
Remote Control Trans Am from Zip-Zaps
Of course I have models of all of my cars:
The 1978:
The 1989:
and the 1998:
Here is a remote control Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit II. This was made probably back somewhere in 1981.
I was also lucky enough to grab one of these as well. It is the 1/18th scale black Chrome Case car of the 1977
Trans Am. It is pretty much the same as the Smokey and the Bandit car but it doesn't have the gold decals, but silver decals instead. The biggest difference is that there was only 1,000 of these cars made. So, if you have one, hold on to it because it could be worth some money someday. The Smokey and the Bandit cars were a dime a dozen, and the Red, White, and Blue 1977 Trans Am's had only 5,000 made, but this one was a very Limited Edition.
1977 Pontiac Trans Am
I also happen to have this 1977 Pontiac Trans Am from the Franklin Mint. They had a red one a while back that was a limited edition run. Now they actually brought out the infamous black and gold version as well. It comes complete with opening hood doors and trunk, and removable T-tops. This is a highly detailed piece of work that they produced. it even comes with a Collector's Guide with facts and figures and even had your own pair of white felt gloves for when you handle the car. Everything is greatly detailed and they didn't miss a thing, right down to the emissions sticker in the engine compartment.
I also have the Police Car Trans Am from the Franklin Mint
